Register early to avoid disappointment; we are expecting the program to fill up shortly after registration opens.
1.2 How do I register my child(ren) in the EMBHL?

Scotiabank Learn to Play Program for kids born 2018, 2017, 2016 - $140.00
U8 for kids born 2015, 2014 - $160.00
U10 for kids born 2013, 2012- $160.00
U12 for kids born 2011, 2010 - $170.00
U14 for kids born 2009, 2008 - $170.00
We are only excepting Online Registrations We will only be accepting E-Transfer.

1.3 What is your Refund policy?
To obtain a refund, you must submit a request by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org .
• your name and the name of your child
• the division in which your child is registered (LTP Tyke, Novice, Atom, Peewee)
• your child's team (if he or she has already been assigned to a team)
• your phone number, email address, and mailing address
• your reason for requesting a refund
Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for refund processing.
1.4 Will any charges be applied for my refund?
* Prior to First Game of the Season - $10 Adminstration Charge
* After First Game of the Season - $30 Administration Charge
*After Second Game of the Season No Refunds will be available (Unless the Season is Cancelled due to Toronto Public Health then we will prorate the season fee Minus $30 for Uniform)
1.5 Can I sign up my child(ren) to play on the same team as a friend?
Yes, we will try to accommodate as much as possible up to 2 friends. We encourage kids to make new friends.
2.1 When and for how long does the season run?
The Spring 2022 season begins in Early April and runs until late June ( 10 game schedule)
2.2 When is the first game of the season and how will we be notified?
Each player will be contacted by email and by our New Mobile App TeamLinkT.
Coaches and EMBHL Staff will hand out team Uniforms at the first game and check equipment.
2.3 What are the days of the week and the times of the games?
Games in all divisions will run 40 min. Exact times of games will not be available until 2 weeks prior to start of season and are subject to change. Schedules are established only at the close of registration.
Games are played Indoors for April pending City of Toronto permits and outdoors for May and June so the schedule is entirely weather-dependent after April.

In the Event of a Rain/Thunder or Lightning we will try and accommodate Games on Friday evenings 6 pm to 8 pm, Sundays between 9 am and 11 am or 7 pm and 9 pm
To protect all players, coaches, officials, and spectators, the following criteria will be applied for inclement weather or poor rink conditions in assessing if a game is delayed, cancelled and/or rescheduled
If games are cancelled due to inclement weather, a notice will be sent out at least 1 hour prior to scheduled game thru Teamlinkt mobile app
Games will be re-scheduled which could be as early as the next day being Sunday Morning.
3.1 Where are the games played?

4.1 My child has never played ball hockey/ice hockey before. Is this program suitable for a child with no prior experience?
Yes! Our program is designed to suit children at all levels of experience and skill. A fair number (especially Tyke and Novice) of EMBHL players are children with limited or no ice hockey or ball hockey experience.
5.1 What kind of equipment do you provide? What equipment do I need to provide for my child?
We provide each registered player with a team jersey, shorts and Socks.
We also provide goalie equipment, permitting each child to try their hand at goaltending (if they so wish).
Goaltenders must wear their own regular CSA-approved helmet (not provided) or their own CSA-approved goalie mask (not provided).
Hockey helmet with full facial protection (cage)
Note: both facemask and helmet must have CSA sticker.
Goaltenders can either wear player helmet/facemask (as above) or a goalie mask
Note: goalie mask must have CSA sticker. -
** Street hockey goalie masks ARE NOT PERMITTED ***
Note: any type of gloves not designed for ice hockey use (e.g., lacrosse) are not permitted.
Note: both wood or composite are accepted. Push-on plastic blades are not permitted.
Soccer style shin guards –
Note: It is mandatory for shin guards to be completely covered by socks.
Note: Ice hockey shin guards are not permitted.
5.2 Is there any additional equipment that is acceptable and recommended?

5.3 Is there banned and prohibited equipment? The following equipment is prohibited:
• Shoulder pads
• Hockey-style hard elbow pads
• Hockey-style shin guards
• Any type of gloves that are not ice hockey gloves, (e.g. lacrosse gloves)
5.4 What type of hockey stick is required?
Wooden or composite hockey sticks only. Plastic bladed sticks where the blade is pushed on to the shaft are not allowed.
